Our focus is simple: create hardware that preserves interface stability, maintains performance under stress, and performs as intended when failure is not an option.

While serving within the Naval Special Warfare community, GDI's Founder and CEO identified critical shortcomings in existing optic mounting solutions. During deployed military operations, pre-deployment work-ups, and field training exercises, he observed that one of the most critical components of a weapon system—the optic mount—could fail to maintain a secure and repeatable interface with the host weapon. These failures jeopardized mission effectiveness and, more importantly, the lives of Teammates and military personnel operating in harm's way.

Those observations established the foundation for GDI's long-term vision: to engineer mounting systems capable of delivering repeatable performance, interface stability, and long-term reliability under real-world operational conditions. What began as a mission-driven effort to solve a critical battlefield problem evolved into a disciplined engineering program focused on interface design, validation, durability, and production execution.

For more than two decades, GDI has partnered directly with prime contractors on domestic and international military and federal law enforcement programs. The operational discipline and engineering rigor developed through that experience define the performance standard behind every GDI product today.

All GDI products are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the United States using American-sourced materials—produced through a vetted USA manufacturing network under GDI engineering and quality oversight.
